Fresh Green Beans and New Potatoes

One of my favorite garden vegetable combination's is Fresh Green Beans and New Potatoes. When we go to the garden to pull the first little new potatoes, that is one of the first dishes I want to make.  I remember going to the garden with my Grandmother in the early spring and digging the potatoes and the earthy smell of the fresh ground around the potato. My grandmother always made this dish and it has been a favorite of mine since I can remember, so today I want to share it with you.

  2. This is how my sweet southern mother always fixed her green beans--sometimes she even put summer squash on top of the potatoes to steam. Delicious!
