One year ago today I published my first post, The Journey Begins. When I look back now I am amazed at how fast the time has passed by. I had published my cookbook Miz Helen's Kitchen Table about a month before I began work on the blog. My daughter called and said if you're not busy go to your computer, which I did. She directed me to my new blog that she had set up for me. I just sat there and looked at it. It really looked like an airplane dashboard to me, and I thought she has got to be kidding. She was very encouraging, but I thought I really don't have the time to figure all of this out. For weeks after that I would just go in and look at it, close it and go about my day. Finally one day I made the decision that I would attempt the blog. Right away I changed everything she had done and made it mine, of course I did. When the day finally came to publish the first post, I sat frozen in front of the screen, fear of the unknown had taken over, finally I garnered enough courage to push that publish button. A great door opened up for me that day!
I have had so much fun with this blog. It has been a challenge for me learning and trouble shooting "Blogger Problems" along with all of you. Every week I look forward to seeing all of my new friends all over the world. I have some great new friends that I would never have had the opportunity to get to know any other way. I could not have come this far without the help and support of some very special people. Many thanks to my daughter for getting me started and your unlimited support. Many thanks to my dear friend Amy Green at Simply Sugar and Gluten Free for your love and support in sharing the journey, Brent at Linky Tools for his never ending kindness. Many thanks to all the blog parties that I visit every week and all of you who host them and the wonderful encouragement that you have given me this year. A big thanks to all my followers who have signed up to go along on this journey with me, thanks for your support and all your kind comments! A great big thanks and a hug to all my friends who come to my blog party Full Plate Thursday, you are all awesome!
I have loved having you in the kitchen with me this year, and inviting you to my table to share a meal. It has been great to take you along on a Day Trip. It has been so much fun to have you come along for our Garden Gate experience and my great joy to share a Quiet Time with all of you. Sometimes when we look back we often times think that we would like to have changed something, I would not change a thing I have loved every mile of this journey with all of you. I can't begin to tell you how much you have given to my life this year. I love it so much I think we will just keep on going and I invite you to continue the journey with me.
Peace and Joy
