Country Ribs

We just love to spend as much time as we can outdoors in the summer. Of course one of the things we enjoy is a gathering of friends and family just enjoying the evening with a cook out. Today we are grilling Country Ribs.

We start these ribs with a nice rub and finish them with a nice sauce. They are so tender and tasty.
Country Ribs
Country Ribs
Miz Helen's Kitchen
The Rub
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Mix the rub together and rub on washed and dried meat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before grilling. Let come to room temperature before placing on the grill. Just before the meat is ready mop with BBQ Sauce.
BBQ Sauce
Miz Helen's Kitchen
1 medium yellow onion chopped
3 cloves minced garlic
1 cup Ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire
1/2 cup Honey
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Method For Bar B Q Sauce
In a medium sauce pan sweat the onions until clear. Add all the remaining ingredients mixing well. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium low and cook for 15 minutes. The Sauce will be ready for use at that point.
