Whats For Dinner Next Week: Grilled Peaches With Spicy Vanilla Sauce

Hi, I am so glad you could stop by today.  I just love this time of the year because it is finally cool enough for us to come back outside. So this week I am planning on a late candle light dinner on the patio.  It will be a great evening!  My feature recipe this week is on Sunday.  Grilled Peaches with Spicy Vanilla Sauce, it is heavenly and a must try.

Roasted Vegetables with Red Pepper
Spicy Cole Slaw
Homemade Cottage Bread
Cheese Cake with Raspberry Sauce (left over from Friday)


Roasted Peaches With Spicy Vanilla Sauce
To prepare the peaches cut in half leave the peeling on take out the seed
Drizzle the peaches with your favorite honey, I used a lavender honey
Now we head out to the grill.

Requires a hot grill about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
The Sauce
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup honey, I used Lavender Honey
2 vanilla beans or 11/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cinnamon stick or 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon of fresh grated nutmeg
dash of salt
Mix all the ingredients and pour into saucepan.  Heat the sauce, but do not boil. 

Strain the sauce and cool before serving.

This is delicious! We had some cream left over that we used on pound cake with fruit.
Leonard loved the sauce he says he wants it every week.
